UU Presents: BLOCK PARTY 2012

American electronic DJ and record producer Kaskade will headline University Union’s Block Party, with additional performances by indie rockers Cold War Kids and a special guest to be announced at a later date.

Kaskade will be the first electronic artist to headline a Carrier Dome show. The annual spring concert will be held on
Friday, April 27th, 2012 in the Carrier Dome. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., with music starting at 6:30 p.m.
Named ‘America’s Best DJ of 2011’ by DJ Times, Kaskade is arguably one of the biggest names in the house and
electronic genres. Since signing with Ultra Records in late 2006, Kaskade has gone on to have several top 10 Billboard
Dance singles. The Chicago-born DJ has collaborated with electronic and house greats Deadmau5, Tiësto, and
Skrillex, and has produced remixes for artists from Beyoncé to Lady Gaga.

Long Beach, CA natives Cold War Kids burst onto the indie rock scene in 2005 with their debut EP, Mulberry Street.
The band’s debut album, Robbers & Cowards, was considered one of the best albums of 2006 and received high
